Clip the tether to a harness. Never to a collar.
In a sudden stop a collar concentrates the whole force on the neck. A harness spreads it across the chest and shoulders. This is true of every tether, including the two in this box.
Memory foam, because a car seat is a bed your dog spends hours in.
Most booster seats are a fabric box with a thin pad. On a twenty-minute trip that’s fine. On a four-hour drive it isn’t — and an older dog getting out stiff at the other end is the usual result. A memory foam base makes the difference on long journeys, and the raised sides mean your dog can see out of the window, which is the single biggest factor in whether a dog settles in a car.

Is this crash-tested?
No, and we won’t claim otherwise. It’s a containment and comfort booster — it keeps your dog in one place, off your upholstery, and able to see out. If you specifically need certified crash protection, look for a product with published Center for Pet Safety results.
Why two tethers?
One per side, so you can centre a dog that likes to lean, or secure two very small dogs. Both clip to a harness.
My dog is 40 lb.
Over the rating. The frame won’t hold its shape and the tether geometry is wrong. Please don’t.
Does the cover come off to wash?
Yes. Wash cold and air dry — don’t tumble dry memory foam.
My dog is scared of the car. Will this fix it?
It helps if the problem is instability or not being able to see out. Genuine fear — trembling, refusing to get in, hiding before you reach the car — needs gradual desensitisation. A seat is a starting point, not the whole answer.
Care instructions vary by product — see the specifications in the description above for what applies to this item. As a general rule: wipe hard surfaces with a soft damp cloth and air dry, wash removable fabric covers cold and air dry rather than tumble drying, and store away from direct sunlight.

Returns. You can return an unused item in its original packaging within 30 days for a full refund. Message us first and we will issue a return authorisation — there is no restocking fee. Items that have been assembled, used by a pet or washed cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, so please check the dimensions and weight limits before ordering.
If your item arrives damaged, incomplete or not as described, email us with a photo within 30 days and we will replace it or refund you in full. You will not be asked to ship a damaged item back at your own cost.
