In a sudden stop, a collar concentrates the entire force on the neck. A harness spreads it across the chest and shoulders. This is true of every tether, ours included.
A loose dog in the back seat is cargo that can move.
Most medium dogs travel one of two ways: loose across the back seat, or wedged into a rigid crate they can’t turn around in. This booster is the middle option — raised high enough that your dog can see out of the window, walled enough that they feel held, and tethered so a hard brake doesn’t send them anywhere.

Motion sickness shows as drooling, yawning and vomiting. It’s common in young dogs and many grow out of it. Being able to see the horizon helps.
Fear shows as trembling, panting, refusing to get in, hiding before you reach the car. That doesn’t resolve on its own — it needs gradual desensitisation. A seat that makes the car feel predictable is a starting point, not the whole answer.
Questions people actually ask
My dog is 45 lb — will this work?
No. It’s rated to 35 lb. Please don’t order it for a larger dog — the frame won’t hold the shape and the tether geometry is wrong.
Can I put it in the front seat?
We don’t recommend it. A deploying front airbag is dangerous for an animal at that height. Back seat only.
Is the safety strap included?
Yes, the tether is in the box. You supply the harness.
Is this crash-tested?
No, and we won’t claim otherwise. This is a containment and comfort booster — it keeps your dog in one place and off your upholstery. If you specifically need certified crash protection, look for a product with published CPS test results.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the oxford surface for everyday mess, or remove it and machine wash cold, then air dry.
Care instructions vary by product — see the specifications in the description above for what applies to this item. As a general rule: wipe hard surfaces with a soft damp cloth and air dry, wash removable fabric covers cold and air dry rather than tumble drying, and store away from direct sunlight.
Shipping. Every product we sell ships from a warehouse inside the United States. Orders are picked within 1 business day and typically arrive in 2–5 business days. No customs, no overseas transit. Free shipping on orders over $50.
Returns. You can return an unused item in its original packaging within 30 days for a full refund. Message us first and we will issue a return authorisation — there is no restocking fee. Items that have been assembled, used by a pet or washed cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, so please check the dimensions and weight limits before ordering.
If your item arrives damaged, incomplete or not as described, email us with a photo within 30 days and we will replace it or refund you in full. You will not be asked to ship a damaged item back at your own cost.
