Most plush toys last one afternoon. This one is built on a tougher weave.
There’s a reason dogs prefer soft toys and owners keep buying hard ones: shaking a plush toy replicates the killing shake, and it’s deeply satisfying in a way a rubber ball never is. The problem is that a standard plush toy is a thin shell of polyester over stuffing, which lasts about as long as you’d expect.
HuggleHounds build on a knit fleece that resists tearing along the seam — the point where ordinary plush toys fail first. It still feels soft. It just doesn’t come apart on day one.

Check plush toys weekly and retire them once the outer layer is breached. The real risk with soft toys isn’t the chewing — it’s a dog swallowing stuffing or a squeaker from a toy that was already torn. A ripped toy is a bin toy, however attached your dog is to it.

Is it really tough enough for a chewer?
Tougher than a standard plush toy, and the seams hold up far better. But it is fabric. A dog that methodically dismantles soft toys will get through it, and we won’t pretend otherwise.
Can I remove the squeaker?
Not without opening the toy. If noise is the issue, this isn’t the right toy.
Does it go in the washing machine?
Yes — cold wash, air dry. Don’t tumble dry; heat degrades the knit.
Is it suitable for a teething puppy?
Yes, with supervision. Teething puppies chew hard, so check it daily and retire it if the surface breaks.

Returns. You can return an unused item in its original packaging within 30 days for a full refund. Message us first and we will issue a return authorisation — there is no restocking fee. Items that have been assembled, used by a pet or washed cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, so please check the dimensions and weight limits before ordering.
If your item arrives damaged, incomplete or not as described, email us with a photo within 30 days and we will replace it or refund you in full. You will not be asked to ship a damaged item back at your own cost.
