Rabbits are prey animals with nothing to do. That combination is where the chewed skirting boards come from.
A wild rabbit spends most of its waking hours foraging — nose down, working through grass for the next mouthful. A house rabbit gets a bowl. The drive doesn’t disappear; it goes into your carpet, your cables and the corner of the sofa.
A snuffle mat puts food back where it belongs: hidden in something they have to work through. Most owners notice the difference in destructive behaviour within a week or two.

Questions people actually ask
What do I put in the snuffle mat?
Their normal pellet ration, or dried herbs like dandelion and chamomile. Take it out of the daily allowance rather than adding on top — rabbits gain weight easily.
Is it safe to leave in the enclosure?
Only once you know your rabbit forages rather than chews the fabric. Watch the first few sessions. Ingested fleece can cause a gut blockage, and in rabbits that is an emergency.
How do I wash the mat?
Shake it out after each use and machine wash cold occasionally, air dry. Don’t tumble dry — heat mats the fronds together and ruins the effect.
Will it work for a guinea pig?
Yes. Guinea pigs take to snuffle mats readily, though they’re slower to work out the stacking cups than rabbits are.
My rabbit ignored it.
Start obvious: scatter food on top where it’s clearly visible, then work it deeper into the fronds over several days once your rabbit knows food lives there.

Returns. You can return an unused item in its original packaging within 30 days for a full refund. Message us first and we will issue a return authorisation — there is no restocking fee. Items that have been assembled, used by a pet or washed cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, so please check the dimensions and weight limits before ordering.
If your item arrives damaged, incomplete or not as described, email us with a photo within 30 days and we will replace it or refund you in full. You will not be asked to ship a damaged item back at your own cost.
