Whiskers are not hairs — they’re sensory organs packed with nerve endings at the root. In a deep, narrow dish they brush the sides on every mouthful, and some cats find that unpleasant enough to eat in short bursts, paw food onto the floor, or leave the middle of the bowl untouched.
A wide, shallow, tilted dish keeps the whiskers clear. The raised ceramic base tilts the food toward your cat so it can reach the last of it without pushing its face down into a corner.

Small ridges in the base mean your cat has to work around obstacles rather than hoovering the dish in one go. For a cat that eats too fast and then brings it straight back up, slowing the pace is usually what fixes it — though if regurgitation is frequent, that needs a vet rather than a bowl.

Is whisker fatigue real?
Whiskers are genuinely sensitive sensory organs, and plenty of owners see a difference switching to a wide shallow dish. It isn’t a diagnosis, and a cat that suddenly stops eating needs a vet — appetite loss in cats can become serious quickly.
Does a slow feeder prevent vomiting?
Slowing a fast eater often reduces the bring-it-straight-back-up kind of regurgitation. It does not treat vomiting from any other cause. If your cat vomits regularly, see a vet.
Will it slide across the floor?
Ceramic is heavy enough to stay put far better than a plastic bowl.
Can I use wet food in it?
Yes. The ridges work with both, though wet food needs washing out promptly.

Returns. You can return an unused item in its original packaging within 30 days for a full refund. Message us first and we will issue a return authorisation — there is no restocking fee. Items that have been assembled, used by a pet or washed cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, so please check the dimensions and weight limits before ordering.
If your item arrives damaged, incomplete or not as described, email us with a photo within 30 days and we will replace it or refund you in full. You will not be asked to ship a damaged item back at your own cost.
