Pet stairs can provide an alternative route onto beds and couches for dogs that are comfortable using steps. They are not a medical treatment. Ask a veterinarian if your dog is limping, in pain, or has mobility concerns.
This is four steps. That’s the entire product. It works because your dog stops jumping.
Landing puts roughly three times its body weight through the front legs and spine. Stairs give a walking route instead.
Why four steps, not three
Rise per step is too tall. A small dog still has to hop up each one. You bought stairs and your dog is still jumping.
Shallower rise across 19.6″ of total height. A stiff or long-backed dog can walk it. It reaches a standard bed, not just a sofa.

Your dog will not use these on day one. Plan on a week.
Put treats on step one only. Next day, step two. Then three, then four. Do not lift your dog onto the stairs. Dogs that get placed on them learn nothing and avoid them afterwards.

Will it slide on hardwood?
The base grips bare floors. On a very smooth polished floor, push the back edge against the bed frame so it can’t travel.
Can a cat use it?
Yes — and older cats often take to it faster than dogs do.
My dog is 9 and already limping. Is this enough?
Stairs reduce future impact but they don’t treat existing joint disease. If your dog is limping now, see a vet. This is a preventive tool, not a treatment.
Does the cover really come off?
Full zip. Wash cold, air dry. Don’t tumble dry — the fleece pills.
Will it hold a 60 lb dog?
It will take the weight once, but the foam will compress permanently. We’d say no.
