A hunt has a sequence: stalk, chase, catch, kill, eat. A laser delivers the first two and never the rest. Some cats handle that fine; others become frustrated, and in a minority it shows up as obsessive light-chasing, staring at reflections, or redirected aggression.
The fix takes ten seconds: finish every session by landing the dot on a physical toy or a few treats and switching the laser off there. Your cat catches something solid, the sequence completes, and the frustration doesn’t build. Never shine it in your cat’s eyes, or a person’s.

Are laser toys bad for cats?
Not inherently, but they are easy to use badly. The risk is frustration from a hunt that never completes. End every session by letting your cat catch a physical toy or treats, and keep sessions short. If your cat already fixates on reflections, skip laser toys entirely.
How long should a session be?
Five to ten minutes is plenty. Cats hunt in short bursts, not long sessions.
Will my cat knock it over?
They’ll try. The weighted tumbler base rights itself — that’s what the shape is for.
Can dogs use it?
Some dogs chase lasers, but we’d advise against it. Light-chasing compulsions are better documented and harder to undo in dogs than in cats.
Is the laser safe?
It’s a low-power pet laser designed to sweep at floor level. Never point any laser at eyes — your cat’s or a person’s.

If your item arrives damaged, incomplete or not as described, email us with a photo within 30 days and we will replace it or refund you in full. You will not be asked to ship a damaged item back at your own cost.
