Bowls included, five heights, stainless steel. The complete answer for a big dog.
Most raised feeders are sold as a bare frame and you discover at unboxing that you need to go and buy bowls that fit. This one arrives complete: two stainless steel bowls, five height settings from 8.2″ to 17.3″.
Stainless matters more than it sounds. It doesn’t scratch the way plastic does, and scratches are where bacteria sit — which is the usual cause of feline chin acne and of a bowl that smells however often you rinse it.

You will see raised feeders advertised as protecting against bloat and “protecting the spine”. Neither is established. A Purdue University study actually linked raised bowls to higher bloat risk in large and giant breeds. This stand is worth buying because a tall dog eats more comfortably standing square than splayed over a floor bowl — not because it treats or prevents any condition. If you own a deep-chested breed, ask your vet first.

Questions people actually ask
Are the bowls dishwasher safe?
Yes — they lift straight out of the frame.
Why stainless rather than plastic?
Plastic scratches, and scratches harbour bacteria. That’s the usual cause of chin acne in cats and of bowls that smell no matter how often you rinse them.
Does it wobble at full height?
Stable in normal use. At 17.3″ any stand is taller than its base is wide, so put it against a wall if your dog pushes into the bowl while eating.
How do I choose the height?
Measure floor to the bottom of your dog’s chest and set the bowl rim near that. Your dog should eat standing square, not reaching up or craning down.
Care instructions vary by product — see the specifications in the description above for what applies to this item. As a general rule: wipe hard surfaces with a soft damp cloth and air dry, wash removable fabric covers cold and air dry rather than tumble drying, and store away from direct sunlight.
