You can’t train a cat out of scratching. You can only give it somewhere better.
Cats scratch to stretch the spine and shed the outer sheath of their claws. It isn’t a behaviour problem and it isn’t something you correct — it’s maintenance, and it will happen on something.
This tower gives an indoor cat the three things it’s actually looking for: something tall to climb, something coarse to scratch, and somewhere enclosed to disappear into.

1. Assembly order matters. Stairs first, then the scratching post, then the bottom board. Out of order means taking it apart again. It’s in the instructions; almost nobody reads that far.
2. Your cat will ignore it for a few days. That’s normal. Put it by a window, rub a little catnip into the sisal, and don’t lift your cat onto it — cats reject furniture they were placed on. Give it a week.
Questions people actually ask
Will it tip over?
Not if you fit the weighted bottom board as instructed and set it against a wall. Skipping the base board is the single most common cause of wobble.
My cat already scratches the sofa. Will this stop it?
Usually only if you put the tower next to the spot they’re already using, and cover that spot for a couple of weeks. Cats scratch by location habit, not by material preference. Putting the tower in a corner across the room almost never works.
How long does the sisal last?
With one cat, expect 18–24 months before it looks worn. The posts are not user-replaceable.
How do I clean it?
Vacuum the plush with an upholstery attachment; spot clean with a damp cloth. Don’t soak it — the internal board is particle core.
Is 20 minutes of assembly realistic?
Yes, with one Phillips screwdriver, if you follow the order above. People who improvise the order report an hour.
Care instructions vary by product — see the specifications in the description above for what applies to this item. As a general rule: wipe hard surfaces with a soft damp cloth and air dry, wash removable fabric covers cold and air dry rather than tumble drying, and store away from direct sunlight.

Returns. You can return an unused item in its original packaging within 30 days for a full refund. Message us first and we will issue a return authorisation — there is no restocking fee. Items that have been assembled, used by a pet or washed cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, so please check the dimensions and weight limits before ordering.
If your item arrives damaged, incomplete or not as described, email us with a photo within 30 days and we will replace it or refund you in full. You will not be asked to ship a damaged item back at your own cost.
